A Swan Attacks During our First Paint Out!

What an adventure we had shooting this first video for the American Paint Out! Maestro got attacked by a swan and we struggled with murky water in the cove in the beginning. Then our camera batteries gave out on us half way through. But everything worked out in the end. We brought the painting to a good place on-site and then transferred to the studio to do some last minute touches. The swan made it into the painting at the last moment...but during the filming, we left out the part where the hissing swan actually attacked. I have to say that I had a moment of indecision as I was filming the altercation. I kind of wanted to see what would happen between the dog and the swan, but then my concern for my dog took over and I intervened. It's a good thing too because it was a BIG swan!
